The Kirishima Meat Plant located in Kobayashi City, Miyazaki Prefecture handles meat processing from the slaughtering to the cutting stages for both cattle and pigs. The beef cutting plant was newly established as a part of the medium-term management plan of Itoham Foods Group in order to improve and expand the scale of meat production. It started its operation in October of 2014. With this move we have established a system to supply beef and pork from both the main plant in Kagoshima Prefecture and the one in Miyazaki Prefecture. The Kirishima Plant also collects meat from Kumamoto Prefecture as well.

With the new addition of the beef cutting processing capacity, we can process as many as 40 heads of cattle and 1,080 heads of pigs per day.
